“The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings capable of law, where there is no law, there is no freedom.”

–John Locke

This Handbook (aka “The Codex”) applies to all US based employees, and compliance with NOBL policies is a condition of employment. This Handbook supersedes all previous employment policies, written and oral, express and implied. We may from time to time modify, rescind, delete or add to the provisions of this Handbook. We’ll do our best to notify you of any significant changes that affect you, but you can always find the most up-to-date version here on Notion, and you are responsible for checking for the latest updates.

This Employee Handbook is not an employment contract between you and NOBL nor is it intended to alter the at-will employment relationship between you and the Company. We reserve the right to interpret the policies in this Handbook and to deviate from them when, in our discretion, is appropriate.

At-Will Employment

Keep in mind that NOBL is an at-will employer. This means that your employment is not for any specific period of time, and it can be terminated by you or by NOBL for any reason, with or without cause or advance notice. NOBL may also change the terms, conditions, and benefits of employment and otherwise modify, alter, or terminate the employee’s position, including demotion, promotion, transfer, reclassification or reassignment, in its sole discretion, with or without cause or advance notice. In addition, NOBL reserves the right to exercise its discretion in disciplinary matters. Nothing in this Employee Handbook is intended, nor should be construed, to limit or alter the at-will employment relationship. Only NOBL’s CEO is authorized to change the at-will nature of the employment relationship, and must do so in writing.

Nothing in this statement, Confidentiality policy or Handbook is intended to interfere with, restrain, or prevent concerted activity as protected by the National Labor Relations Act. Such activity includes employee communications regarding wages, hours, or other terms of conditions of employment. NOBL employees have the right to engage in or refrain from such activities.

Employment Classification

Full-Time Employees - Full-time employees at NOBL work 40 hours per week and are eligible for all benefits offered by the company.

Part-Time Employees - Part-time employees work fewer than 40 hours per week and may be eligible for certain benefits on a pro-rated basis.

Temporary Employees - Temporary employees are hired for a specific project or time period and may be eligible for benefits based on the duration of their employment.
